Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.

It really depends on your individual needs and in often times, your budget. However, both term life and whole life have their benefits and drawbacks. Term life insurance is affordable and straightforward but doesn’t last for life, while whole life insurance doesn't expire, but is more expensive.

That’s great assuming your employer offers coverage and you’ve signed up. But, odds are, that coverage is inadequate. And even if your company offers the best plan ever, you’ll lose it once you stop working there or should they choose to cancel it.

That doesn’t mean you should forego life insurance offered by your employer or dismiss other options. Coverage is coverage, and even if you already have life insurance with your employer, a personal plan can certainly serve as a supplement.

In some cases, a medical exam is almost always part of the traditional life insurance underwriting process depending on the type of coverage you are looking for. However, there are life insurance policies that do not require a medical exam and some that don't ask any health questions at all.

A final expense life insurance plan is designed to basically pay for a person’s burial and in addition may offer discounts on funeral services. Depending on the state you live this may be the plan that is right for you.

The amount of life insurance you need rests on two major factors:  how much you might need to pay off all your debts (including a mortgage) and how much your dependents may need to maintain the same lifestyle after you or the primary income earner is no longer able to provide.
